Jakarta Biennale
SAHA provides support for Köken Ergun’s new project at Jakarta Biennale 2021: ESOK, curated by Grace Samboh, Sally Texania and Qinyi Lim, held on 21 November 2021 – 21 January 2022. The word ESOK is derived from Indonesian “besok”, which means tomorrow. Whilst “besok” refers to the day after today, ESOK is inclined towards the future, with a strong sense of urgency; the immediate future. Ergun’s new project deals with the global expansion of China, by way of its Belt and Road Initiative.
