SAHA Curatorial Program guest Ignacio Szmulewicz will give a presentation at SAHA Studio on Friday, 17 January 2025 at 6 pm. The presentation will reflect on different tendencies in current Latin American Art, especially those in connection with a critical inquiry on the relationship between mankind and the Earth. By reviewing the history of Latin American art since the mid of the twenty century, he will explore contemporary artists from Chile, Brasil, Puerto Rico, Panama that have questioned modernity, nationality, and the borders of national identities. The talk will submerge in an array of recent curatorial projects, and a particular focus on the exhibition "Lejos, muy lejos", presented at Matucana 100 Cultural Center in 2023.
